I made sure to get
I made sure to get a sunburn today and my reasoning was that it made me feel "alive". Food for thought

Sorry God
Thought of you yesterday but nothing made it on to the paper...
One of my thoughtful questions though was how to empathize with sinners and live a "human" life without embracing the devil and those bad things we're trended to do?!

As long as the earth endures,
seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night will never cease. (Gen 8:22)
Sometimes its hard to know that a perfect summer day will end and sometimes its hard to remember that a long cold winter will end. But always God points out the yings and the yangs. The seasons of life. What a blessing.

isn't it ironic...don'cha think
So I should research this a little more but isn't irony the same as God teaching us?
For instance -Baby, dog and I got caught in the rain Sunday on our morning jog (yes. we jog instead of going to church mostly) and I was thinking that that was empowering! That I was proving to anyone that was jogging past or even driving by that not only was I a working mom who was satisfying all of her family components needs but that I could do it in the rain!! yes yes. I could do it sopping wet.
And then -I called my mom-in-law late in the day today to say that I was sorry I didn't get back to her sooner but I didn't need a daycare pickup for the kid or supper cooked. That we just looked fried because it was a bad work week but Monday was already off to a better start. and where were my mom and dad-in-law? Mopping out our flooded basement.
Because for Noah when it rained it poured! And when I wanted to cry because the basement was mess and everything was on the floor and my husband had just moved all his band equipment back down I remembered that the rain just makes us look stronger! It proves to people that we can do it!! We can get through our time on earth and still come out in heaven in the end.
PRAISE BE TO GOD
(that just seemed appropriate to declare)

Forgive and FORGET
Our Focus on the Family magazine had a good article in it this month about trusting that your spouse has best intentions...Someone that lead me to ponder that I need to treat my spouse like I treat out dog (courtesy of the Dog Whisperer of course) and just forget after I forgive...

The crew of Apollo 8, the first manned spacecraft to orbit the Moon, sent televised pictures of the Earth and the Moon back to Earth (left), and read from the creation story in the Biblical book of Genesis, on Christmas Eve, 1968, This was believed to be the most widely watched television broadcast until that time. The mission and Christmas provided an inspiring end to 1968, which had been a bad year for the U.S., marked by Vietnam War protests, race riots, and the assassinations of civil rights leader Martin Luther King and Senator Robert Kennedy.

God loves everyone
Even the one-toothed wonder on the most recent reality show we're watching who showed his tattooed ass to Gordon Ramsey and cooked alligator.

Like a Father
So the last few days (sorry...the posts have been crappy) my focus has been on preserving my fragile, stressed self and taking care of my loved one (sorry...the husband can take care of himself. I'm talking about our daughter).
Shouldn't we as parents have a greater understanding of God? Isn't his love and protection 100x the ability of our own?
