Genesis 1:5
God called the light "day," and the darkness he called "night."
And there was evening, and there was morning-the first day.

Church this week was exactly what it was supposed to be! Refreshing. Invigorating!!
My only regret is that I didn't plan today well enough to hit the Gospel service in the afternoon and get a double dose of Sunday stuff.
And yikes! This is what two years feels like.
Can't help but continue to remember the lofty goals of outreach that I had set when embarking on this novice journey. I still hope to achieve those in my "spare" time...in the future. But I'm stressing even more now about making these last posts seem more meaningful. Hopefully I don't loose sit of the whole meaning of the concept which HAS been achieved.
My Lord, My God, My Savior; I'm closer to you now than ever before just because of the challenge to meet with you every day. THANK YOU for inviting me into your kingdom (the Holy Spirit must get a pat on the back for this one?).
Regards, Nell

Yesterday
So sorry that I missed yesterday. I was trying (I should have just opened up the Bible) all day but didn't come up with anything worth writing- I think that I'm starting to put extra stress on myself for having decent content but then I don't think not posting is a good result?
Anyway. Still don't have much to say.

Saw in our Thriving Family issue an article about choosing a college...thank you Bethany; For everything.

To follow up on yesterday's post, here are examples of how I'm trying to use life strategies to better my spiritual outlook:
18 Minutes
Concept of fear then reward; I haven't read the complete chapter yet but the idea that fear gets our attention but can't be sustained but when followed up with the reward really seemed to apply to the Law and the Gospel! Getting that shot of eternal damnation is pretty convincing but really, we should reap the benefits of living our lives for Christ because what a peaceful existence... That also refers to Monday's post about finding a "center".
Also I've taken the author's concept of setting an alarm every hour so the day doesn't get away from you. Funny that I didn't intend to but I immediately found myself praying when that alarm went off! It was meant to be a reflective minute on if you were advancing a greater goal or just doing busy work to feel busy but it's turned into a conversation with God every hour. Soon though I need to focus on making it a full minute I think and master the distraction factor.
7 Habits
Pyramid of importance rather than urgency; I need to go back and re-read for the third time but putting God at the top of my pyramid is something I am committed to even if I still struggle to make this happen every day. I think its so very valid to look at every task and every situation through that lens.
