Abraham

"No longer will you be called Abram; your name will be Abraham, for I have made you a father of many nations." Genesis 17:5
I really love how bold Abraham is at the end of chapter 18...He's totally barganing with God!
I also love 15:1 "Do not be afraid, Abram.  I am your shield, your very great reward"
"and through your offspring all nations on earth will be blessed, because you have obeyed me." 22:18

The old testament kinda just fascinates me -There is SO much missing from the narratives.  But then I suppose who can put so many lives with so many years into words.  And I guess that maybe the briefness can make it applicable to our own lives?  I might sound better on paper with just a couple highlights.  Lol.  As long as they were the, "God will provide the lamb" (chapter 22) moments and not the, "laughing over child bearing years" (chapter 17).
