You may have read a couple days ago that I was sending a friend some sermons and they've had a really positive and wonderful result on her heart :) I suppose it's true that you can never predict how a message will be received and instead of it being a hard message to hear (I was thinking it would be a "pull your boot straps up and just trust the Lord" kind of feeling) she's taking at as "God can do anything" sort of miracles message. Her hopelessness is gone! I had no idea this would happen.
Amazing though.

I am so glad that the Holy Spirit worked in her heart to give hope for the future and trust in the Lord. I took an idea from the thankfulness article and had my math students write a gratitude statement on the back of their quizzes for extra credit yesterday. I was impressed by the depth of some of the answers....I am going to continue that each day this week also and get them to dig deeper into themselves and think about all that we have instead of wallowing in the teenage pool of 'whatever'.
