I ran across instructions for Moses from God in Exodus (37:20ish) and he kept using almond blossoms as an illustration Moses was supposed to use. When I searched what those looked like exactly, Van Gogh's painting was a first result :) How lovely! And I remembered the book Johanna which was a fictional (but based on letters, memoirs) work based on the life of Van Gogh's sister in law -His beloved brother's wife. I'm not sure what I can relate back to the bible on that one but I feel connected to the painting as it was done for his brother and wife after the late-January birth of their first/only born. Vincent's namesake.
