But
Don't deadlines really make ya push to the end? I think that God has blessed my life (and along with that my husband's and my daughter's) and along with that comes the good pressures of deadlines.
Birthdays-
Getting presents together for family is a deadline that you really can't push out :)
Work-
Those Monday reports don't write themselves...and I'm happy to say I'm out of the yellow/caution section this week, finally!
Rewards-
What about the mornings when you deal with yourself, "if I just get xyz done I will allow myself to go grab a cup of jo"
So what about the deadline of heaven? Is that the peace that terminal patients seem to find? Is that what small children seem to so quickly grasp when faced with turmoil?
I need to see heaven as a R~E~A~L place. A real value. A real goal.
I will turn off the TV now (I had HGTV on in the background, that's better than like, MTV, right?) and pray about understanding that heaven is a tangible goal.
