this verse caught my eye as I was reading about peter because it's harvest time and along with harvest comes some rotten cantaloupes (or substitute your fave garden veggie here). we're not always sure why the fruit goes bad / the excessive dampness or the slugs may not be outwardly evident. but you have to be prepared when biting into a plum (again, substitute your experience) to find a beetle. THIS IS NOT TRUE OF OUR ETERNAL REWARD. there will be no surprises.
